Shopping & Dining in Eastsound

Orcas Island Things to Do

A visit to Downtown Eastsound provides a lot of things to do on Orcas Island. Take a stroll down Main Street and you will find all sorts of cute artisanal stores, one-of-a-kind local goods, and fabulous dining. Not to mention a conglomeration of coffee shops that seem to pop up around every corner. It’s easy to spend all afternoon going in and out of shop after shop.

From the first weekend in May to the last weekend of September, enjoy the fresh bounty and unique items at the Orcas Island Farmers Market. Shop the organic produce, pick up a few artisan crafts, jewelry, or art, or meet with local organizations and businesses every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is open to the public and leashed dogs are permitted.

Speaking of food, Eastsound has quite the list of places to eat and we promise you won’t go hungry on your trip. Follow your nose to the bakery, Rose’s, where you can enjoy some of their wonderful bread during a fresh and delicious lunch. Take a stroll under the stars to Sazio’s, the Italian restaurant that will get your taste buds buzzing over fabulous wine and handmade pasta. Top it all off with a cocktail concocted from The Barnacle.

These are just a handful of the many restaurants that dwell in Eastsound. So have fun trying them all, or stick to one where you could become fast friends with the locals.

Check out the chamber of commerce dining guide for a list of all the restaurants, their locations, and contact information, or check the guest book in your cottage for great suggestions on dining options and island activities!
