Welcome to a perfect Pacific Northwest romantic get away! Salmon shoal brings the waterfront to your feet. This two bedroom, one bath, all amenities retreat is a feast for the eyes and soul. A beautiful sloping grass “shoal” takes you from deck to water in one easy saunter. The view extends from Saturna Island (Canadian) to the west (where the sun sets) across the Georgia Straits to Patos Island, Sucia Island, Matia Island, and back to mainland Washington (where the sun rises over the huge Canadian peak called “Golden Ears”).
Salmon Shoal is a classic Northwest open design. The full kitchen offers an amazing view plus the glow of a overhead skylight, and a convenient pass-through to the dining area. The living room/dining area has huge picture windows down its entire length, plus fireplace, TV/DVD/CD, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. There are two bedrooms, each with queen-sized beds and there is a full bath as well on this level. A deck the entire length of the house features hot tub, grill, dining furniture, and old-growth rhododendrens and camellias.
There is a completely separate room in the bottom level of this house with its own entrance around the side of the house. Gothic style furnishings and a 75" 3-D TV make this a perfect cinematic hideout!
Salmon Shoal has yet another amenity which boaters will find extremely attractive. If you are planning a sailing/boating vacation in the San Juan Islands, but would like a few nights on dry land—with a hot tub, sauna, elegant restaurants a mile away, and laundry facilities, Salmon Shoal can offer a welcome respite. A mooring buoy is located just off-shore—with easy walk-up access from your dingy to Salmon Shoal. Have the best of both worlds. Your boat anchored just off your deck and hot tub, the water waiting (patiently) for you after a leisurely breakfast on dry land.
